By Shankar Choudhary

Expert Rating

7.5/10

Pros

Big battery, Smooth display, 5G support, Clean UI

Cons

HD display, Slow charging, Average camera

Verdict

realme C73 is a practical budget smartphone focused on battery life and smooth everyday usage. The Dimensity 6300 processor handles basic tasks, social media, and light gaming without issues. Its 6000mAh battery is a strong point, easily lasting more than a day. The 120Hz display gives smooth scrolling, but the HD+ resolution feels a bit low compared to competitors offering FHD panels. Camera performance is average, suitable for casual use only. Charging is also slow at 15W. Overall, it is a good option for users who prioritize battery and 5G connectivity over performance and camera quality.

Questions and Answers

The Realme C73 5G features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and 625 nits brightness, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor, 32MP main camera + 8MP front camera, 6,000mAh battery with 15W charging and 5W reverse charging, IP64 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance with 2-metre drop tested, Dynamic RAM up to 18GB, expandable storage up to 1TB, 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 300% ultra volume mode, and Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0. Starts at ₹10,499.

Partially. The Realme C73 5G has an IP64 rating and also supports Rainwater Smart Touch (screen works when wet). It’s protected against full dust ingress and water splashes including coffee and soup tested in lab conditions. It is NOT rated for submersion — so no pools or sinks. For a phone under ₹11,000, IP64 is a genuine advantage.

No — it only supports 15W wired charging, which is slow for a 6,000mAh battery. A 15W charger is included in the box. It does support 5W reverse wired charging to charge other devices. If faster charging is a priority, the Realme C75 5G with 45W charging is the better option at a slightly higher price.

Yes, for under ₹12,000 it’s a solid pick. The 6,000mAh battery, Dimensity 6300 5G chip, IP64 rating, MIL-grade drop resistance, 32MP camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, and clean software make it one of the most complete budget 5G phones in its range. The main weaknesses are: only 15W slow charging, HD+ LCD (not FHD+ or AMOLED), and a single bottom-firing speaker. Great for students and first-time 5G users.
