Expert Rating

8.6/10

Pros

flagship performance, UFS 4.0 storage, strong selfie camera, premium build

Cons

average battery size, no NFC, slightly heavy, limited availability

Verdict

Lava Agni 4 is one of the most performance-focused phones in the ₹25K segment. With Dimensity 8350 and UFS 4.0 storage, it delivers near flagship-level speed, making it perfect for gamers and power users. The AMOLED display is sharp and smooth, while the 50MP front camera is a big plus for selfie and video creators. Build quality also feels premium with metal and glass design. However, battery capacity is average compared to rivals offering bigger batteries, and lack of NFC may be a downside for some users. Overall, it's a powerful and value-packed phone for performance lovers.

Questions and Answers

Lava Agni 4 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2400 nits peak brightness, MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, 5000mAh battery with 66W fast charging, aluminium alloy metal frame, dual stereo speakers, customizable Action Key, in-display fingerprint sensor, Vayu AI suite, and IP64 rating. Launched at ₹24,999.

Good, especially for a Made-in-India phone. The Dimensity 8350 is a capable mid-range chip, the 1.5K AMOLED display is excellent for the price, UFS 4.0 storage is premium, and the clean bloatware-free Android experience is a big plus. Main limitations are the small IP64 rating (not fully waterproof), average cameras, and Lava’s limited brand perception vs Realme or Samsung.

Lava Agni 4 uses a 4300mm² VC (Vapour Chamber) Liquid Cooling System combined with a Game Booster Mode. This keeps the Dimensity 8350 chip cool during long gaming sessions and heavy usage.

Lava Agni 4 is confirmed to receive 3 years of Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates. It launched on Android 15, so it will receive updates up to Android 18.
