Expert Rating

8.9/10

Pros

Ultra bright display, fast charging, big battery, smooth performance

Cons

No OIS support, average selfie, no expandable storage, heating in gaming

Verdict

realme P4 is a feature-packed smartphone focused on display and battery performance. The 144Hz AMOLED panel with extremely high brightness makes it one of the best displays in this price segment. The 7000mAh battery combined with 80W fast charging gives excellent backup and quick top-ups. Performance is strong enough for gaming and heavy usage, thanks to Dimensity 7400 Ultra. However, the lack of OIS affects camera stability, and the selfie camera is just decent. Also, no expandable storage may be limiting. Overall, it's a great choice for users who want a premium display and battery experience.

Questions and Answers

The Realme P4 5G features a 6.77-inch FHD+ Hyper Glow AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness — one of the brightest displays in its segment, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra + HyperVision AI Chip, 7,000mAh Titan battery with 80W Ultra Charge (fastest in segment), 50MP main camera + 16MP front camera, IP68/IP69 water resistance, slim 185g body, 3 years OS updates + 4 years security updates, and expandable storage support. Starts at ₹17,999.

The main user-reported issues are: the Hyper Glow AMOLED display, while bright, has slightly different colour tuning than standard AMOLED panels and some users find it slightly over-saturated. The 50MP front camera can sometimes oversharp selfies. Some bloatware is present out of the box, and like most Realme phones, it lacks NFC. No major hardware faults have been widely reported though — it’s generally considered a reliable phone.

Yes — it’s one of the best value phones in the ₹17,000–₹20,000 segment. The 4,500 nits ultra-bright display, 80W fast charging (fully charges 7,000mAh in under an hour), slim build, and strong IP68/IP69 water resistance make it a compelling all-rounder. Battery life in tests clocked at 17+ hours of screen-on time, which is exceptional.

Yes. The Realme P4 5G carries IP68 and IP69 dual certification — meaning it survives full submersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes and resists high-pressure water jets. It’s well-protected for rain, accidental drops in water, and everyday splash situations.
