Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is a solid choice for users who prefer long-term reliability and software support. With 6 years of updates, it clearly stands out in this segment. The Super AMOLED display delivers good colors, and the 50MP OIS camera performs well for stable shots. However, the 90Hz refresh rate feels outdated compared to competitors offering 120Hz or more. Performance is decent for daily use but not ideal for heavy gaming. Charging speed is also on the slower side. Overall, it’s best for users who prioritize brand trust and long-term usage over raw performance.

Two things stand out — its 6-year OS update and 6-year security update promise is class-leading for a budget phone, and it includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, which is typically found on much pricier phones. The dedicated Gemini AI button and Super AMOLED display also set it apart from most budget rivals using LCD panels.
