Tecno Pova Slim Expert View

By Shankar Choudhary

Expert Rating

8.1/10

Smooth display

Pros

ultra slim design, 144Hz display, lightweight, smooth UI

Cons

weak performance, no OIS, average cameras, short updates

Verdict

Tecno Pova Slim is a unique offering focused on design and display. Its ultra-slim and lightweight build makes it stand out in a segment where most phones are bulky. The 144Hz AMOLED display is a big highlight, offering a very smooth and premium viewing experience. However, performance is average due to the Dimensity 6400 chipset, making it suitable only for casual users. Camera performance is decent but lacks OIS, which affects stability. Software support is also limited compared to competitors. Overall, it's a good choice for users who want style, slim design, and display over raw performance.

Questions and Answers

The Pova Slim is the world’s slimmest 3D curved display 5G phone at just 5.95mm thin. It features a 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display with 4500 nits, a Dynamic Mood Light LED ring, 5160mAh battery with 45W charging, and Ella AI with Indian language support.

It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 (6nm) chipset with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Not fully. It has an IP64 rating — safe against dust and water splashes, but not suitable for submersion.

Good for style and slim design lovers on a budget. The display and battery impress, but the Dimensity 6400 chip is underpowered compared to rivals. Best for light users and media consumption, not heavy gaming.
