Xiaomi Redmi A5 Expert View
7.8/10
120Hz display, Big screen, Good camera, IP52 rating
Slow charging, eMMC storage, No 5G
The Xiaomi Redmi A5 is an attractive budget smartphone designed for users who want a big display and smooth scrolling experience at a very affordable price. Its large 6.88-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate stands out in this segment and makes daily tasks like social media and browsing feel smoother. The Unisoc T7250 processor offers decent performance for basic tasks and light gaming. The 32MP main camera can capture good daylight photos compared to many entry-level phones. However, the phone still uses slower eMMC storage and only supports 4G connectivity. Charging speed is also basic at 15W. Overall, the Redmi A5 is a solid value-for-money device for multimedia and casual usage.
