Verdict

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is made for users who want a premium flagship phone with stylish slim design, excellent display and reliable cameras. The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers top-level performance for gaming, multitasking and daily use without issues. Its 200MP main camera captures detailed and sharp photos, while One UI with 7 years updates adds long-term value. The biggest compromise here is the 3900mAh battery, which feels small in this premium segment, and 25W charging is slower than many rivals. If battery backup is your top priority, better options exist. But if you want brand trust, premium feel, cameras and long support, this is still a solid flagship pick.

Questions and Answers

Yes, it did. Despite heavy marketing, the Galaxy S25 Edge was considered a commercial failure. Due to very poor consumer demand—selling under 200,000 units in its launch month compared to millions for the regular S25 series—Samsung completely halted production just five months after its release. Additionally, Samsung has officially cancelled the upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge, effectively killing off the ultra-thin lineup.

The main differences lie in their body dimensions, display sizes, and camera hardware:

  • Design & Thinness: The S25 Edge is an ultra-slim device at just 5.8mm thick and weights 163g, utilizing a premium titanium frame. The regular S25 has a traditional armor aluminum build and is slightly thicker.
  • Display: The S25 Edge features a larger 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display, whereas the base S25 has a smaller 6.2-inch Full HD+ screen.
  • Cameras: The Edge model utilizes a massive 200MP main camera paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, but it completely drops the dedicated telephoto zoom lens found on the standard S25.
  • Battery: Due to its razor-thin profile, the Edge is limited to a smaller 3,900mAh battery with slower 25W charging, compared to the better-optimized battery life on the standard lineup.

It is a mixed bag. The phone features an incredible 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and a premium, ultra-lightweight titanium design.

However, it struggles significantly with poor battery life because a 3,900mAh cell cannot reliably sustain a 2K display and heavy usage all day. It also charges slowly at 25W. At its original launch price of ₹1,09,999, it was widely criticized. However, if you find it heavily discounted during stock clearance sales (around ₹57,000–₹59,999), it offers great performance value if you don’t mind carrying a power bank.
