Vivo T5x Expert View

By Shankar Choudhary

Expert Rating

8.2/10

Pros

massive battery life, smooth 120Hz display, strong performance, IP68 protection

Cons

LCD panel used, no NFC support, average secondary camera

Verdict

Vivo T5x is clearly focused on users who want long battery life and solid performance without spending too much. The 7200 mAh battery is one of the biggest highlights in this segment, easily lasting more than a day for heavy users. Performance is also strong thanks to the Dimensity 7400 Turbo, making it good for gaming and multitasking. However, Vivo still uses an LCD panel instead of AMOLED, which feels like a compromise at this price. The camera setup is decent but not the best in the segment. Overall, it's a great pick for battery and performance-focused users, but camera lovers may want better options.

Questions and Answers

The Vivo T5x’s star feature is its 7,200mAh high-density battery — with over 5,000mAh available for sharing via reverse charging. It’s designed to support 40 hours of video playback and over 15 hours of BGMI gaming on a single charge. It also packs IP68 & IP69+ dual water resistance and MIL-SPEC military-grade toughness.

It’s a very good choice for battery-focused users. With its massive 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery, most users will easily get 2 full days of backup on a single charge, even with heavy social media use and streaming. The main compromise is its LCD display — it lacks the deep blacks and contrast of AMOLED rivals like Realme P4.

Yes — the Vivo T5x is IP68/IP69+ certified, protecting it against heavy exposure to dust and water. IP68 means it can survive submersion in water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. IP69+ adds protection against high-pressure water jets.

Yes, the Vivo T5x supports reverse wired charging, allowing you to juice up other devices using a Type-C cable. It also supports intelligent bypass charging for uninterrupted gaming sessions.
